An actual songbird

This might be the only time I ever get a decent picture of a passerine. It's sitting at the top of the barbed-wire fence for the Coast Guard station next to the boardwalk.

In unpictured bird news, there's been some kind of diving duck hanging around. You can tell it's a diving duck because most of its body is below the water surface when it's sitting "on" the surface.

Also, a fishing boat going out for a really late start. They usually leave early in the morning, not at noon.
